Great Oak maintains its commitment to providing award winning equine therapeutic services to persons with disabilities on its beautiful 44 acre farm located just 1.5 miles North of Downtown Aiken, SC. Your continued care for and interest in Great Oak should give you a great sense of pride in knowing that you are making a daily impact in the lives of those who have a disability.
Proudly, Great Oak can share that all of our riders receive some sort of financial assistance or scholarship aid. Great Oak’s hard cost of each lesson in 2022 is $109. While we ask our families to pay $45 per lesson more than 70% of our students qualify for additional financial aid identified by using the HUD Income Guidelines Scale for Aiken County, with some students qualifying to pay as little as $14 per lesson.
Through the current service offerings of therapeutic riding, equine assisted learning, community based instruction, and Special Olympics training, Great Oak provides over 300+ lessons each and every month. At this time Great Oak is the only PATH Center providing year round services within a 100 mile radius.
