American Quarter Horse Foundation Care Workshop

September 6th- 9am-4pm

The AQHF course provides an in-depth understanding of the best practices for maintaining the health, welfare and performance of horses in Equine Assisted Programs. Students will learn about nutrition, medical care, behavioral management, facility maintenance, and ethical considerations to ensure the highest standard of equine care.

Course Objectives:

By the end of this course students will be able to:

1. Identify key aspects of horse welfare and well-being in EAL programs

2. Develop appropriate feeding and nutrition plans tailored to individual horses. 3. Implement routine and emergency veterinary care

4. Recognize and address behavioral concerns to maintain a safe environment

5. Maintain facilities and equipment for optimal horse care.

6. Understand the ethical responsibilities of EAL program operators


P.A.T.H certified individuals will receive 12 CEU credits for the completion of this workshop.
